MBST Therapy
Health Starts in the Cell

What is MBST?
MBST is a non-invasive magnetic resonance technology used by clinicians to support rehabilitation programmes and help improve movement and function in people with musculoskeletal conditions.
It is often used as part of a wider treatment approach alongside physiotherapy, exercise and rehabilitation plans. MBST sessions do not involve surgery, injections or medication.
The technology is designed to complement physiotherapy and other non-surgical treatments, helping clinicians support people experiencing joint pain, stiffness, reduced mobility and other musculoskeletal problems.
What does MBST do?
In controlled clinical studies, patients receiving MBST alongside standard rehabilitation reported improvements in pain levels and physical function.
Many patients also report reduced discomfort following MBST therapy when it is used as part of a wider rehabilitation programme.
It is typically used alongside physiotherapy and rehabilitation rather than as a stand-alone treatment. A clinical assessment is always carried out to determine whether MBST may be appropriate as part of your treatment plan.
MBST may be considered for people experiencing conditions such as:
-
Osteoarthritis
-
Bone health conditions
-
Persistent joint pain
-
Back and spinal conditions
-
Tendon or soft tissue problems
-
Musculoskeletal injuries
How Does MBST Work?
MBST is designed to target tissue at a cellular level using gentle magnetic resonance technology.
The technology focuses on supporting the body’s natural repair processes and is used alongside rehabilitation programmes aimed at improving pain levels, movement, strength and overall function.
Research has also explored how magnetic resonance may influence inflammatory signalling pathways.
