PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR THE TREATMENT OF:
Joint Pain
Physiotherapy can be highly effective for treating joint pain. Through tailored exercises, manual therapy, and education on posture and movement, we can help reduce pain, improve joint function, and enhance your overall quality of life. We focus on strengthening the muscles around the joint, increasing mobility, and preventing further injury.
Muscle & Tendon Strain
Muscle and tendon strains benefit greatly from physiotherapy, which aims to reduce pain, inflammation, and restore normal function. Treatment often includes a combination of stretching, strengthening exercises, and manual techniques. We will create a personalised plan to aid recovery and prevent future strains.
Ligament Injuries
For ligament injuries, physiotherapy is crucial in regaining stability and function. Through specific exercises, manual therapy, and sometimes bracing, we help strengthen the surrounding muscles and restore normal movement patterns. This approach helps you return to your usual activities safely and effectively.
Prolapsed Intervertebral Discs
Treatment for Rotator Cuff & Impingement of shoulder/frozen shoulder
Physiotherapy offers significant relief for those suffering from prolapsed intervertebral discs. Treatment focuses on pain management, improving spinal alignment, and strengthening core muscles to support the spine. Techniques may include specific exercises, manual therapy, and education on proper body mechanics to prevent recurrence.
Lower Back Problems
(incl degenerative discs & sciatica)
Physiotherapy is essential for managing rotator cuff issues, shoulder impingement, and frozen shoulder. Through a combination of targeted exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or heat therapy, we help reduce pain, improve shoulder mobility, and restore strength and function to the affected area.
Sports Injuries
Physiotherapy plays a vital role in the recovery and prevention of sports injuries. We use a variety of techniques, including exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy, and sport-specific training, to help athletes return to their sport safely and quickly. We also provide guidance on injury prevention and performance enhancement, ensuring athletes can perform at their best while minimising the risk of future injuries.
